Chaz wanted to help save lives through engaging people in donating blood, so he learned how to organize blood drives. Working with a local blood donation service and Lyons-Decatur school, he hosted a series of three blood drives over the winter and spring.
For his “Flood the Blood Drive,” Chaz had successful donations at all three drives and broke a 2006 record of the number of donations given with 27 units donated, 24 donations, and 25 registrants.
His project focused on a process rather than a built object.
